We’ve just started using it and it’s pretty helpful. We’ve just started a fundraising photo project with 7 administrators all spread out over the UK. Keeping costs down is paramount so the extra cost of Basecamp isn’t really necessary. It’s going to take the old timers a bit to understand the concept of it first though! “So what is it, like Twitter?”.

Been in beta for a while now though eh?

Although I don’t agree with all your comments. You are correct, Wave is slow and that makes it clunky. There are currently a lot of great alternatives that I would prefer at this point in time, such as 37 signals Basecamp.

Literally just started to organise a 2 year project with it. It was binned after a day. Clunky, unintuitive, stupid looking. We actually just fired up a quick php forum. Easy.

Fantastic post. I have a fan page and I work hard to do regular, interesting posts without bugging everyone. I never thought of the fact that the friends of my fans would see my posts too.
