Fun puzzle game for curious photographers
Where are the pieces hidden? Where does each piece belong? Which piece doesn’t fit? This is your challenge in this game of hide-and-seek across the Web.
The first person to correctly complete the puzzle and e-mail it to roshgroup@gmail.com between 12:00 noon Jan.1, 2010, and 11:59 p.m. EST Jan. 15, 2010, will win one of the three prizes displayed above. (Winner’s choice for the following: iomega 250 GB portable hard-drive, iPod shuffle or Impecca DVD player). Additional prizes and rewards will be announced during the contest. Updates, information and clues will be shared on Twitter via @newmediaphoto. All winners will be announced after the contest closes on Jan. 15, 2010.
Here’s how it works: Ten puzzle pieces have been hidden around the Net. Use the clues below to hunt for the pieces. Nine out of the 10 pieces fit within a larger version of the example frame displayed above. The size of the final puzzle is a 9-by-9-inch square at 72 dpi.
Winners will be listed — including the first 50 people to complete the puzzle correctly — with a link to their Web site or blog on the New Media Photographer blog puzzle winner’s page (displayed at end of contest). The more people who successfully complete the puzzle, the more prizes and awards will be offered.
This contest is designed for photographers (but not limited to photographers) and requires some basic Adobe Photoshop or photography editing skills to complete and present the puzzle properly.
